Speech for Students on NVS Foundation Day

Good evening all.
Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly, Dumraon, Shri Dadan Yadav, Respected Principal, Shri Anjum Arshi, kind-hearted parents of students, Members of Parents Teachers Association and my dear friends.

It is a matter of extreme proud for me to stand before you all and express my views. Today, as you all know, we are celebrating the NVS Foundation day and I, Sachin Kumar of Class XII (Science) would like to speak on the topic National Integration through Migration Scheme and Three-Language Formula followed in JNVs.

Migration scheme of JNVs is one step in promoting exchange of students between two different linguistic regions or JNVs. Under this scheme, we have our migration from JNV Darjeeling in West Bengal. The regional language of JNV Darjeeling is Nepali so class 6th to 8th students of JNV Buxar study Nepali as the third language. On one hand, it facilitates the ease of exchanging students in Class 9th, On the other, it strengthens the ties between the students. JNVs provide a rare privilege to see the culture of the migrated state. Right from the time we leave our school on migration, the journey by bus, train or steamer, sending off by the friends and parents and to the point of reception at the migrated JNV fills a new joy and enthusiasm in us. Living there with the local students and staff and at times personal contacts with their parents is a novel experience. We get a chance to learn the language of that place and a delight to savour on the local delicacies. We get a chance to be a part of their regional festivals also. In this way, our mind opens up to the rich culture and varied heritage of this vast motherland. Great thinker and a statesman, our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the writer of 'Discovery of India' in his letters to his daughter Priyadarshini has said that if you wish to see real India, you should travel to far-flung and the remotest corners of the land and meet the local people to know of their culture, traditions, food habits and ways of dressing. Knowledge gained through this means of exchange under the migration scheme of JNVs provide us a pool of information that has great implications on our bearing and personality. It makes us aware in all respects and strengthens our understanding of the concept of Unity in Diversity.

With all these diversities, we strive to level the differences of caste, creed, colour and religion and help in promoting the national unity. We come under an umbrella which makes no distinction between the people living in different parts of our motherland. In length from the snow capped Jammu and Kashmir to the vast fathomless sea of Kanyakumari and in breadth from the religious Gujarat to the exquisite land of Arunachal Pradesh, we see our people as one. A sense of fraternity and brotherhood finds a new bond that strengthens the loose joints of people who are narrow-minded and only talk of regionalism. A student of JNV is above these petty issues of regional prejudices who constantly endeavours to promote national integration for the betterment of the country and so, we are proud of it.

Thank you. Jai Hind.

Run the Race....

Ready.
You have now crossed the first lap of the marathon that was flagged off by our leaders. This obstacle was not known to the athletes. It was a surprise for all the athletes. But that was a condition. Remember when they were told that they have to run a race and they will find the end a pleasure, that they will see 'good days' at the finish line, they were not told about the hurdles in between. They were not told that they will all have to become Hindus by the 5th or the 6th lap of the race. Poor athletes also did not know that the authorized, white dressed and expert sports officials of the race will be gradually replaced by authorized, saffron clad and novice political officials, who will suddenly change the route of the race and the athletes will know it only when they have reached a point of the race. This will be done to test the BRAINS of the athletes; to test and ensure that the athletes have not become intelligent. Suppose, the athletes showed any signs of intelligence, they would be disqualified from the race.

Steady.
It was also not told that the DA in the form of water will be reduced gradually with the completion of laps of the race. But again the intelligence of the marathon organizers. If you drink more water during the race, you'll not be able to run! Wow! The runners did not even know this!

Go.
The runners also did not know that the runners with the technical knowledge, executive skills and other qualities will not qualify for the race, though they may run along with other runners. They thought that they were more sensible and intelligent than the matric fail organizers of the event.  Hold all your knowledge back which you have got from big universities because you have earned the degree only after paying money which means you bribed the Universities and got the degrees. Remember, our organizers have not purchased degrees, they have been awarded degrees by us when we saw them toiling to submit their thesis on microphones shouting for the rules and regulations of the race and the prizes to be won by all at the end of the race. We saw them sweating and so we awarded them the degrees based on their hard work. Remember, they have worked in real sense and have earned the name and fame not only for themselves but for all the runners because they never do anything for themselves. Remember, they are so benevolent that they do everything for the runners of the race.
This is the finish line but the race will be on.......................

Home - Coming

I don't see any argument in favour of the people who have dedicated their life to 'home-coming' which is the burning topic today. It is sad, may be for me that I am not able to read the minds of the people who have made it a way of their life.
Where do they get time to do all this from? Is the man so free these days that he has stopped thinking about arranging a meal per day, as he used to do a few years ago? Are these people not working for any establishment and do they not visit their office or complete the long pending works? Do they not even have a rickshaw to pull and earn their livelihood? Are they not even a baba?
Then who these people are........? It will take some more time for me to know about them. Enough. Enough of talking and enough of waiting for the good days to come. We have been told that there is no heaven or hell beyond the last sleep; its all here - wide before us and we experience it before we go for the last sleep. So shall be the view of good days.We will have good days to feel the coming bad days. Its like a sales company which sometimes says that the actual product may vary from the one displayed at the time of delivery. We bought something believing it to be the like we saw but it turned out to be something we didn't see. My! My! Was it a test of our ability to foresee? If so, we failed. We could not sense and saying this at this juncture does not make any sense, at least for another four to five years. Till then happy viewing of what you may like to watch or not.
