Maharashtra Elections

Will the card of Marathi Maanush work in this year's Maharashtra State's election? It is beyond understanding as to why should this card work? A native of Maharashtra does not get his bread by shouting that he is a Marathi Maanush. Cool! Its a state which contains a megaloplis like Mumbai, the commercial capital of our country and people here are not at all worried about such cards as do not fetch their bread. Here, I know, people have to work hard and harder still to earn a meal for the family and the self. Nobody has time to think of all that. Besides, a major chunk of population of Mumbai is elite and educated, which has risen itself above such petty issues as have neither helped nor would sustain their life. This class is making new global contacts every minute, carving a niche for the self and the nation in global market. It talks of big challenges and adventures into tech arenas and forums with fluent English as their mode of communication. Does this section communicate in Marathi any more? Then what force is left behind to give any impetus to create a feeling of mother tongue in them!

Its high time when people should rise above petty issues and contribute to the growth of the nation. People around the world are looking at us; we must rise and do whatever little we can do in glorifying the path of India's progress.

Mumbai

Mumbai attacks are shameful for the country. They have left everything devastated. Valiant soldiers of different forces lost their lives. I salute each soldier and his parents. They allowed us to sleep in peace. We were sure that they have cordoned off the enemies and they will not let them escape without getting a fire on their face. We felt safe and relieved. But equally worried about our brothers and sisters who had been kept as hostages by the attackers. What did you get? What was your aim? Don't you know that you will never succeed in breaking the Unity of India. If not, at least realize now. You just can't break our strong determination to fight the evil.

The law makers of our country seem to have no concern with the tragedy that struck on us. They seem to be busy in churning out a political mileage from the sad event. What are you doing now? We elect you all and send to the Parliament not to sit in AC chambers and while away the precious time which we have given you. Why were no strict policies enforced, why were not some stringent remedial measure adopted, why don't you tighten the system, why can't you think of doing only one thing which needs no money, no bribe and no vote. I think if law makers start doing something not for vote they will get the highest vote. They would also be along with the posters of Sania Mirzas and Abhinav Bindras, Sachin Tendulkars in the room walls of the youngsters of India.
